Sexual...

A few things that I am loving at this moment...
Loving Cherry Vanilla! Hot hair!

Divine Book, beautifully written and inspiring. A truly fascinating lady. We learn what the true meaning of the double interlinked C's, which make up Chanel's synonymous logo. Partial to a love triangle, the book is riveting. I admire how bold and driven madame Chanel was. A true lady and a top class diva.

Wowzer, Bill Gibb, my hero of 1970. A true craftsman. His design, vision and attention to detail is a major inspiration to me. His seams are exquisite! R.I.P Bill Gibb Never to be forgotten!

I have a serious crush on the late Stephen Sprouse!
So cool! I want to make hoodies like these. My own spin on these would be the dream.
Must find some more photos on this guy! Loving it. Pop Art...

Toughen up! Inspirations for 2011...

I cannot wait to see the film: The Black Swan with Natalie Portman, I heard Rodarte created the costumes and I am just waiting for the Ballet theme to come flooding into 2011 fashion. I love the idea of tutu's and gym slips, ballet tights etc but come on, has it not all been done before? As most fashion ideas, yes. What else is there??

Beautiful right! I want to toughen up the fragile image of a ballet dancer, I know black does that already but if we look closer...Red Riding Hood, tough girls, fantastical caricatures really come into play in 2011. Watch out for 'Sucker Punch' and 'Red Riding Hood', toughen up the image with hoods, edgy, dark images/features and ideas...

That's better!

Today I am loving Stripes...

Stripes never seem to go out of fashion. Whether it is a Breton stripe top or whatever piece, I think everyone should have staple stripes in their wardrobe! I love the way Prada have updated stripes by adding a cool silhouette to their S/S 2011 collection:
Pretty brave colour blocking with stripes, and wearing stripes up top and bottom?. That's brave and it works-too cool! The blue and black stripes outfit below is my favourite. The crop jacket is beautiful-I want it, that dropped shoulder. Wonder how easy this would be to copy, hmmm? What is it made out of? Loving the sleeve in this collection. A casual style that is not intimidating-love it, love it, love it!
I prefer this to the power shoulder of 2010, my shoulders are pretty tough looking already and too much padding leaves me looking a little Schwarzenegger. Not a good look for me. Not being blessed with model proportions has left me in a dilemma-what to wear? Some days getting dressed is easy and other days it's so tough! I try to keep an updated style, interpreting fashion styles and mixing classic/vintage dressing, without looking like I have tried too hard, and as for high fashion dressing-I am afraid it is just never going to happen! I am however going to go have a rake in the wardrobe and dig out any stripes...

Loving the 70's Vibe!

'Studio 54'
Obsessed with Blondie's cool nonchalant style and Bianca Jagger-an icon! Seems to be the mood of the 70's for designers now.
Marc Jacobs 70's New York Stylee!
Look back at Jodie Foster in Taxi Driver 1976!
Blondie looking effortlessly cool-70's. She looks HOT!
